Blended from : Merlot 75 % Mourvèdre 15 %Carignan 10 % First launched : 1999 Vine’s average age : 18 years
Soil & cultivation : Arid, stony, lime and clay soil. Vines cultivated organically under supervision of Ecocert. Ploughed, no chemicals or fertilisers.
Yield : 35 hectolitres/hectare
Vinification : Once hand sorted on tables, the grapes are gravity fed into vats. No yeast. Traditional vinification with alternating cap immersion and juice circulation. Five weeks’ maceration. Pneumatic pressing. |

Maturing : 36 months , including 8 in French oak barrels.
Bottled in September 2006, Neither fined nor filtered. Production 6,800 bottles.
Tasting notes : Seductive, aromatic, rich and plummy, with just enough tannin to add body and structure, this wine holds its own with Bordeaux’s best ! The classic soft fruity Merlot characteristics are lifted with just a touch of spice and cloves. A sophisticated wine to complement fine international cuisine.Uncork, or even better, decant for 2 hours before serving at 15-17° .
